Drew - I'm just beginning to understand the PIC MCU's, and apologize for asking dumb questions. I did search the PICLIST for "reset in software", and the only thing I found was a program to reset the 286-based PC. I also read the datasheet, searched the internet and discussed the problem with my friend. In the future, I will keep trying to go through the above steps before posting to this mailing list.
