Note that MCLR* pulled low is NOT equal to a POR and the registers in that
case will be different than those seen with a POR.

As I said, there have been a few threads on this topic... please search
through the PICLIST message archives for details.  I know people have
suggested which registers should be "corrected" to best accomplish a
software reset.
