I've got one of those I use for notes (smaller, lighter than my new Acer and
runs for 6 hours on a charge)

The power pack is 17v but on the back of the tosh its 15.  The Tosh site is
pretty good if you can find it (Portege) but I don't recall seeing a range for
that. My power wart is dying so I'd be curious what I can get away with too.
