Has anyone used Microchip MCP2150 for IrDA communication before?=20

i've tied Enable and /RESET to +5V and Baud0:1 to ground for 9600 =
Baud....can't seem to get any output from TxIR. but i can get CTS gooing =
low for each character sent.DSR was low always.=20

BTW, my 10ohm resistor connected to LEDA lead of HSDL 1001 (IR =
tranceiver) was very hot after a few seconds when connected to TxIR. =
I've checked my circuit numerous times....ran out of ideas..please help.


so i tried using MCP2120 (without IrDA protocal stack handler) and it =
worked out fine.=20
