Hi all, I need to multiply some incoming pulses, let=B4s say ther are coming in 10 pulses per minute, but I need to display this as 10 pulse/min on a lets say 5 sec time base, means all 5 seconds I need to have the calculation done and display the result. The way I have done this is using some NAND gates a couple resistors and caps in integrator configuration, so I get 4 pulses for 1 using 1 complete 4011, 4 resistors, 4 caps. It works, but the multiply rate is somewhat low and the whole thing little bulky. Then I tried using a PLL (4046) and a couple gates and stuff making a multiplier, but without results, anyway I didn=B4t have time to work it out. Anyone has a better idea of doing. The system I am using is a 16F877 which drives 4 ICM7211 drivers in a 2 totalizer and 2 rate counter configuration, which is working well so= =20 far. But I would like to perfect the multiplying section to perfect, best= multiply rate would be 16 or more.
