Hi,

I am designing an in-circuit programmer using PIC16F876. I want it be able
to run from PC serial port when doing code download. I need to get the mc
powered from the port. I have read some articals about this before but can't
recall where were them.I checked the pc serial port's DTR and RTS and found
them all output -10V. Is it right that I need a software to toggle these
pins to output positive and use them to power my circuit? How large current
can they supply? Anyone has ideas? directions?
