Apparently Zilog is filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Unlike chapter 7, this does not mean it's closing its doors, rather that it intends to straighten out its financial state and requires protection from creditors while it does so. Ideally they can straighten things out , come out of chapter 11 and make money again... Many companies, however, do restructering far too late. Let's hope zilog pulls out of this, they've been around a long time, and it'd be sad to see them go now. http://www.electronicstimes.com/story/OEG20011128S0005 and http://www.siliconstrategies.com/story/OEG20011128S0007 -Adam -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
