" Tinkers Rule of Transient Perfection" Every once in a while, I have seen some "gadget" (camera, "O"scope, etc) that has been implemented in a nearly perfect fashion. I know now though, that rather than having some (necessarily) minute improvements, rather, that said state of near perfection will be departed from in the very next years' model. These companies have whole departments whose entire work existance revolves around bringing in new models once or more each year. If a peak of perfection is ever reached, it MUST be left behind as change moves on. An example of the opposite is (arguably) the old VW Beatle.
