Just speculating without the facts (like a good gossiper) if they
were indeed pirates, why go after just one person ? Why not
bump everybody off and loot/sink the boat ? That's the modus
operandi for the pirates around the Molucca Straits and China
Sea. Although the boat had ex-Navy Seals as protection, they
were off on another boat and so Blake's vessel was largely
unprotected. Inside info ?
