OK, since a few seem to be experts -

My old Brother HL-730 has patchy output down the left side of the page -
looks like the drum isn't picking up the toner properly in one or two spots
- any way of fixing this?  Wouldn't mind having a go at it before shelling
out $$$ for a replacement unit (haven't looked recently but I think mine
has separate drum unit and toner unit).
