Hello, list! I have a simple question. If I have, say, a 16F84, and I want to store a string in EEPROM as part of the user interface, what is the convenient way to do it (I'm using straight MPLAB/MPASM here with a Warp-13 programmer)? I think I can do it using the "modify" window, but that requires laboriously converting the string to ASCII and entering it byte-by-byte. Isn't there a way to do it in the source code file? I know how to use the "DW" directive to store data in the RAM file registers, but how do I get to the EEPROM? Thanks in advance for any answers! Michael V Thank you for reading my little posting. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
