I am trying to develop a unit which:- * Runs on a 9V battery *Power is turned on by a float switch ... at which point it needs to:- Wait 1 second - if still turned on ... check the battery level turn on a piezo buzzer for 10 seconds (pulsing if battery is low) go into sleep/low power mode indefinitely (until float switch opens turning off = the device) I only have 16F8XX programming tools (Microchips ICD) available I know these are overkill but so is forking out heaps of $$ for only needing to program 15 chips. What is the best oscillator for low low power consumption - I am thinking RC. Obviously timing isn't critical - except for maybe the AD convertor. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
