Why don't you go to a service bureau and have your file output onto nice dense litho film. It will only cost maybe GBP8-10 and will be head and shoulders above laser printed transparencies in quality and accuracy. Pick the next page size up (A3 or whatever it is for the rest of the world that doesn't use US paper sizes). You'll want to install the correct driver to output a file for the service bureau's imagesetter, so best to telephone them first and get that straightened out.
