Does anyone have any pointers for finding the exact connector to mate with
you phone?

I'm using a Motorola Star Tac with a 15 pin connector.

The connector is very close to a AMP Infoport series 3 plug but has a
different latching mechanism (and it appears the amp connector is single set
of contacts where the OEM part has 2 sets of contacts).
