Hi Vasile. It was intended first as a dimmer supply (since modified
for better zero crossing), then as the supply for this clock

However, because the inside is accessible to any old Tom Dick and
Harry I chose a transformer supply for safety reasons. Note that I did
this project during my computer interruptus period and relied on the
trusty old DOS 486 and a WP. If you want to use the code you'll have
to cut/paste from the source into MPLAB

A cut-down version of the 5V transformerless supply does find a home
in the so-called bank clock at the bottom of the page. This has no PIC,
it's simply a divide-by-3000 (for 60 seconds at 50Hz) using a 4040, two
4081s and a 4001 one-shot to drive the small DC motor (just under the
20) for 1/3 of a second, most of the power for said motor coming from
a diode-isolated 2200u cap
