Hi All,

I am not familiar with LCD circuit, but I think I need a driver circuit to
interface an LCD to my microcontroller, right? Actually I need a LCD with
custom icon layout, so I gave my icon layout requirement to a LCD
manufacturer and they quoted me with a simple drawing, I found that the pin
assignments on the drawing are just one-to-one mapping to each LCD segment,
so I think that this LCD doesn't come with a driver. I found that some
simple off-the-shelf LCD doesn't come with a driver either, is that there
are driver chips commonly available from the market? If so, can I use these
drivers for my custom built LCD?
