(Just kidding) (Why) are they better than the Windows calculator? Is the base selection easy (unlike the HP48x, where it seems to be an afterthought). The thing I really miss on my lost, lamented HP16C is the variable word-length selection, which the windows calc.exe has, but with only 3 choices- 8, 16, 32 bits.
