I did some work using a 16F84 PIC and the DS1820, using Hitech C. It is basic stuff but I didn't really come across any traps. If you are interested I can send you some of the code. I'm about to use a DS2438 smart battery monitor for its temperature sensing capability(plus a few other bits which I may use also). Are their any known "Gotchas" that people have come across with this interface. Yes the [PIC] angle : I'm using a 16F876 to control the DS and to do a lot of other stuff! Best regards, John PS I'm away for the weekend so I won't be able to answer any possible questions before Monday. *************************************************************** John.Walshe@inpactmicro.com INPACT MICROELECTRONICS (Irl) Ltd 21A Pouladuff Road, Cork, Ireland, Tel: +353 21 4318296 Fax: +353 21 4318980 WWW.INPACTMICRO.COM *************************************************************** -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
