Posted on behalf of the author: miSim DE is the new name for PicEm, the simulator, assembler and disassembler for microcontrollers. miSim DE is unique because it is written in Java, is open source and fast. It features Plugins that can be written by anyone to emulate hardware connected to the microcontroller. Current Plugins include LCD, video and LED displays, switches, stepper motors and status monitors. miSim DE is useful for debugging, testing and learning about PIC MCU's and is growing into a complete development environment. Currently the miSim core simulates the PIC16F84, and more microcontrollers are being added shortly. You can use miSim DE online, or download it at: http://www.feertech.demon.co.uk/misim/ Andy Toone -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
