To all,

Can anybody help.  I have purchased the Icebreaker kit (including 16f877) from Magenta electronics and I am now ready to program it.  I have installed the icebreaker software on my PC.  Also installed is MPLAB (version compatible with the 16f87) and a PICC 'C' compiler.  I have not connected the icebreaker board to my PC.

Firstly I opened mplab and at the same time the Icebreaker application file.  I then started going through the tutorial for the Icebreaker from everyday practical electronics magazine.  It says open project ib1.asm from the icebreaker directory and edit it.  A window opens in mplab of an example C program.  The tutorial then says make project but when I try to do this mplab says that there is no source code to build.  What am I doing wrong.
