Hello everyone I have a question that I'm hopping some one can help with.
I did post this on the picbasic list but I didn't get any responses on it
so!!!! here I am at the pic list.
here goes.
I'm using the melabs x1 board and communicating with a note book through the
serial port I'm also using the melabs loader.
here is the problem my notebook is dying(poor thing)
so I bought a new one but there is no serial port.
only usb I tried 2 different usb to serial adapters but didn't do the trick
I was able to read the info from the chip on a terminal program but I
couldn't program the chip.
so now I'm thinking..... this thing does have a ps2 port, is this the same
as a
serial port if I use a ps2 to serial adapter?
you know the type that comes with a mouse.
because if it is then my problem may be solved but I hate to try it and end
up with a cook out.
so If any of you can be of any help !!!!TIA
