Hi, i'm about to attach a datalogger to a racing motorbike, the datalogger stores bike speed in 25 or 50 samples per second. Now assuming the bikes gearing doesn't change, and the track is flat etc, i'm hoping to be able to tune the fuel injection for max power. My idea is to use the rate of acceleration shown by the change in speed, and adjust the FI accordingly to give max speed increase over time through the entire rev range. Max speed increase will indicate max hp at the rear wheel, assuming airdrag and other factors remain constant for the test. Any suggestions on this before I put it together? If speed normally goes from 50mph to 60mph in X seconds, does this mean that 50mph to 60mph in 0.90909 X seconds means a 10% greater hp in that range? -Roman -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
