Added {EE}: tag The steps I went through to get a polygon connected were these: DRAW: POLYGON Using the icons that appear across the top of the screen, set Fill to Solid Thermals to ON Orphans to OFF Isolate to 0 spacing to whatever Draw the polygon, it shows up unfilled. type RATS (I think typing RATS is more fun than clicking the ratsnest icon ;-) the polygon fills, but is not connected to pads Then go to EDIT:NAME and name the polygon the same name as one of your nets (say, GND). This is how you bet the polygopn to actually connect to a pad. Otherwise, it will be held back some distance. If Isolate is set to zero, the isolation is (cryptically) set to the same settings as one of the DRC spacings! Zero is not really an option. Type RATS again and the polygon will be connected with thermals (or not, per your settings) --Lawrence Lile ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ed Heath" To: Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2001 1:46 AM Subject: Re: Eagle circuit board software > Thanks Gabriel > > I just tried that and it fill in but it looks like it disconnected > from the pins, as well as the trace that went through it that > was on the same side and also the ground that the polygon > needs to be connected to?
