By the way, I just saw on the NAR's web site ( http://www.nar.org ) that
they have not heard that model rockets (less than 1 pound) are banned, just
those requiring waivers. Still, the president of my local group says that
the FAA rep who he talked to said that even models are currently banned.
Apparently the FAA is so busy with other (admittedly more important) things
that they aren't even sure what they currently are allowing. We'll see how
this develops over the next few days.
