I've tried really, really, REALLY hard to remember a time when, after
figuring out the cause of a problem in something I'd designed, I
**DIDN'T** feel like an utter moron for having caused it in the first
place.

I've a good memory, and have been making technical mistakes for more
than a third of a century.

No luck.  I've felt like a dolt, every time.

Best thing is to be kind to yourself, and have a chuckle over it.
