The Japanese are big on virtual pets, >any idea what theirs are capable of ? > So you think a cat-emulator would be environmentally-sensitive? [only if it could sort the recycleables from the non-recycleables]. IIAC, Aibo the robo-chihuahua is the most advanced japanese simu-pet at present. It is environmentally-friendly [never poops on the carpet] and does a lot of puppy-type things... rollover [?], play dead, beg. Big in japan [>130,000 sold the 1st year], but very few were apparently sold outside japan - rest of the world apparently doesn't think $2500 is the good price for a toy. The specs on the Aibo are impressive. Computing power similar to a playstation, etc. -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
