My father is having troubles with his modem, phone & ISP, it seems to disconnect him often and although the connect rates are high it seems not much data actually gets through. I am using the same ISP and dial-in phone number and I don't have this problem. I have swapped out modems to no effect. Is there a way to analize or test the phone line quality without calling in a tech from the phone monopoly? We'd like to determine the source of the problems.
