Being a store-bought matrix then it's almost certain the LEDs
are matched for intensity and colour. Is it a particular line of dots
that's different ? Could be just the timing that needs tweaking.
If you're driving the LEDs directly from the latch then I wouldn't
expect perfect results. They aren't designed for that job, watch
they don't fry
