I draw diagrams with Eagle www.cadsoft.de which is available as freeware, and then capture them off the screen with Capture Express http://www.captureexpress.com , saving as a JPG or BMP. Often I will also reduce the size of the file and/or the number of colors to obtain maximum compression (PICLIST does not allow large attachemnts) with Graphic Workshop www.shareware.com All this stuff is available as shareware or freeware. This beats ugly ASCII art all to pieces. I hate ASCII art, since I can never read it. --Lawrence Lile ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Baldwin" To: Sent: Friday, August 31, 2001 6:50 PM Subject: Re: [OT]: Bad art > What was used to create some of the simple circuit diagrams that > were attached as GIFs ? > > Any other suggestions for simple "how to wire it up" diagrams for > documentation and mailing list discussions ? > > Steve. > > > ====================================================== > Steve Baldwin Electronic Product Design > TLA Microsystems Ltd Microcontroller Specialists > PO Box 15-680, New Lynn http://www.tla.co.nz > Auckland, New Zealand ph +64 9 820-2221 > email: steveb@tla.co.nz fax +64 9 820-1929 > ====================================================== > > -- > http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics > (like ads or off topics) for you.
