Why not try a pulser circuit which pulses say 1 second of current into a self oscillating relay every 5 seconds? Hi voltage? I have a very nice circuit useing the lm3909,(you can also use transistors:) ) that produces about 100 volts at VERY low amps, and does indeed fell like a tickle.
