If you happen across my original post you'll see that I discussed having a separate pot/switch setup. The pot isn't a problem. I've already have both the A/D code and my segment divider setup. The primary requirements were that the pot and switch be integrated and the switch it pushbutton. BTW it would still be possible to build the interface with a pot and integrated switch that clicks on one end like an on/off/volume knob. It would require clicking to activate the interface, then timing out once the value has settled. It's a bit awkward, but workable. > (Having had a quick look in my junk box I have come to the conclusion I have > a breeding colony, anyone know how to identify male and female computer mice > so I can seperate them ?) The only way I've done it is to actually start cleaning them. They are throwaways in the $2 to $5 range I've been getting them recently. They clog and stop operating smoothly. They get replaced and thus breed in the junkbox. By cleaning them, they last a lot lot longer. A flathead jeweler's screw- driver does wonders to restoring smooth operation.
