I'm new to this list, so please excuse this simple question, however:

I built the simple serial programmer. You know the one, a few resisters, a
few diodes... When I use wither PIX (dos) or PicProg (windows), I can read,
verify and erase the chip. When I try to program, I get the following
error...

Failed to program address 0000 (windows)
Blow program error at 0000h PIC=0000 0103 wanted. (dos)

On the programmer, between pins 4 and 5 I have 14v, between 14 and 5 I have
1v.

Could this be because the program starts with ORG 0x000? I don't know what
I'm doing wrong.
