I think I am in agreement for Wade's first goal of wing leveling is to use a cheap accelerometer maybe an ADXL202 or similar, ruling out commercial made "stabilizers". "...at one point have it controlled entirely by a PIC..." I would have to guess that Wade's or even my next question would be how to keep the plane from flipping on its back when trying to enter a coordinated turn? You could bank the plane first to say 20 degrees, then start to pull up elevator... Thats about as far as I think I got, need to gather more info on the subject from the web (my primary source of info), and keep Wade in the loop.
