You may be interested in the latest version of the Pic Emulator -
a Java program that emulates Pic Microcontrollers, assembles and
disassembles code, and includes plugins that can emulate hardware
connected to the processor. The emulator is fast, platform independent
and open source, allowing anyone to write plugins for particular
devices.

It now supports more accurate emulation, including interrupt handling,
duplicate plugins, general user interface improvements and control
over settings. In addition, the core has been improved to allow for
other processors to be emulated in the future (only Pic16C84 is
currently supported).

If there is sufficient interest I will be supplying the emulator on
CD, complete with an installer and Java VM for most major platforms
(Windows, NT, Linux). This will make it much easier to install and
run the emulator on your PC.
