back to main question, measure 0-50Hz with 0-400Hz panel.
The internal principle of low frequency measurement based on measure time
between edges.
As the most suggestions they will produce a burst of 8 pulses per rising
edge of incomming signal.
Do you know about the method of your panel? Over how much cycles does it
count, what is the refresh (scan) time?
I'm afraid that you'll get a lot of jitter on your panel.
Only a point of thinking about....
