I think the most easy way in the begining is to use the hyperterminal from Windows, and that's all. You have to make just a DB9F or DB25F cable with the next configuration: In the DB9F: pin 5=GND (to the GND in the micro), pin 2 RX (to the TX in the micro) and pin 3 TX (to the RX in the micro) at the PC side. In the DB25 just cross the pin 2 and the pin 3.
