Russ, my favorite download manager is FlashGet (Formerly Jet). It was recommended by the folks at The Screen Savers on Tech Live. Unlike the `hideous' Godzilla or whatever, FlashGet doesn't `infect' your system with `hidden features'... I've heard horror stories of folks trying to remove other managers from their system. FlashGet is easy to use and very programmable. I've tested it with Netscape v4.7 and IE v5.5x when I was using Earthlink and a Dialup connection. I've included a summary from the docs below.
