Well, it will be soon! It's too hot to work on it very long at a time and I've had a hard time getting it all done. Too many months in 'drydock' and I'm getting way too anxious to put her out to sea. Must be patient...... Soon....soon....... I've thought about opto-isolators and may do that. I'm using transistors in this case because I had the usual big supply of them, didn't have opto-isolators, and don't have enough money to get them yet. Maybe on a second version. They definitely sound to be worth the trouble and money. -Tony gygar wrote: << Glad to hear the boat is sea-worthy again =) I noticed you refer to transistors turning on the mosfets from the PIC. I've found it very helpful to use opto-isolators with appropriate biasing resistors to separate the PIC from the usually higher voltage H-Bridge and it's possible noise from the motors. Not sure if they are essential as I'm also a novice roboticist, but just thought I'd mention it as an alternative to the transistors. =) Cheers, Gygar >> -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
