Hi everyone,

I am new to PIC. I have the Parallel programmer assembled (from P. =
Andesren at http://www.phanderson.com/PIC/picstart.html ) and got =
Bojan's P16prol for 16F84. However, I did not get the programmer to =
work.

I am sure that the circuit is wired correctly, and the s/w settings are =
ok. What I noticed is the that D3 (pin 5) on the parallel port is always =
low, which makes the 13.4V voltage appear all the time on /MCLR, hence =
preventing correct setup.

I am runing Windows98. I tried running from DOS, but also got he same =
problem.

Any suggestion, help is appreciated.
