PICers, I've been kicking around a design involving an RF 1/2duplex link, a keypad interface bmo a 74C922 decoder, lcd(3 wire connection , 4 bit mode) & maybe relay closure. The pin connections work out OK for a 16C57 but the programming would be alot easier with interrupts. I've only programmed '57s & f84s so far and the ol' f84 would be struggling - you'd have to do heroic things i/t/o multiple functions on single pins. So what would folks recommend as the next chip I should try out? I figure I'll need PORTA (x4), PORTB(x8) & PORTC (x8) + interrupts. It shpould be programmable on the PICSTART+ and MPLAB. Heh .. and readily available for reasonable $$$$! Thanx for advice - 'bout time i moved up in the PIC series I figure. Ian -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
