I have a few home-made ICSP cables for the PSP
and 1 foot to 2 foot is fine no problems. I do use
single wires, not ribbon, and leave them a bit loose.
Fine for all flash chips i've tried, but then I haven't
yet tried a '871. I do suspect the capacitance issue
is not that big a problem, provided you have well
wired system. :o)
