Hi Randy, I used the Seiko C550001 LCDs from EIO (www.eio.com). I've posted some example code and handy hints on their website (like don't drill out the small holes in the solder tabs to take a wire, they connect up the various layers of the PCB. Doh).. The code is for a 16F84A but it should port across after changing the config and chip descriptions. Nice little units. Got good service from EIO as well, though there is a minimum order ($20?). AFAIK C550001 units are $6 each.
