I use CCS for a couple of reasons: Lots of library support, built in functions and example programs; a good Web based user forum on their web site; reasonable price ($99 to $250 depending on what you need); close to ANSI C without being inflexible. You can download a demo version (fully functional for 30 days, I think) from Microchip's weeb site, though I don't know what version it is. Floating point support is included. I tries several other compilers and like this one best, not to say the others are not good. There were a couple I didn't like, but I'm not about to write my own compiler so I won't criticize others' work! 8-) Dale -- A train stops at a train station. A bus stops at a bus station.
