Hi Harold, I've worked with the ISD25xx series in the past, and
was just eyeballing the ISD400x for a possible project. Looked
good at first gander - SPI - but then I noticed you actually need
about 5 or 6 lines to the PIC, and not just 2 or 3.

So, instead of fiddling 3 control, plus 2-3 address, lines on
the 25xx, now you need full-blown SPI protocols, plus all those
other handshakes checked.

Do you think it is worth it to switch over from the 25xx?
