Hello Piclisters,

there are so many excellent programmers on the list. I wonder if it was not
possible to speed up the download process of the registers and FSRs for the
MPLAB-ICD.

There are only about 700 bytes of registers and SFRs at the 16F877. They
should transfer in about 100 msec. at 57600 baud if i didnt make a mistake.

Since the firmware is partially open to us there might be some chance for
improvements, as far as the bottleneck is not in the MPLAB-DLLs.

Does anybody have more detailed information about that topic?
