If someone was interested in doing what was mentioned, electronics now magazine had a "radar gun calibrator" article in the 80's. It uses a gunn diode and feedhorn setup. I guess you'd have to cut a hole in the grill of your hotrod and know for sure what band the local yocals were using on their radar guns.
