I've installed linux on 2 different computers, and both times its really screwed up the partition. The graphical one usually works, but it doesn't let you do much. The fdisk that comes with windows usually doesn't mess up the drive, but it often freezes on some formats. I've had really good success with the ranish partition manager. I used it to fix my harddrivers after linux screwed them. It also has its own boot loader program like lilo. I'm not saying that you shouldn't use lilo, just set up your partitions first with ranish. Here's one page its on http://www.users.intercom.com/~ranish/part/. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
