Linus' way of pronouncing Linux is the way I've always heard
it in NZ

But it's funny how some people just seem to ignore how
everybody else pronounces a name. I saw a documentary
some time ago and the BBC reporter, for a whole irritating
hour, pronounced NASA as "Narzar". He must be the only
one in the whole world who doesn't say "na sa"
