I can highly recommend both. Easy Pic'N is more of a simple primer to get started in PICs with and Myke's book can be a good continuation. The good thing about Myke's book is that there are schematics for a cheap programmer in it, I believe. I am actually re-reading both books myself to brush up on ASM and PICs Get yourself a cheap programmer and a few 16F84 chips, along with both books and learn along.
