Hi All, I own the Boardmaker 2 (V2.6) PCB layout software, using a dongle. After 2 house moves within one year I lost the dongle, I know, my fault. The manufacturer, Tsien in the UK, only wants to sell me a new dongle for 70% of the full package which amounts to some 500$ US, which really, really knocked me out. I have original invoices, reg numbers so I can prove I bought it from them. But there was no discussion possible. Boardmaker is a DOS program, and I have since switched to Proteus (look Ma, no dongle!), but still have designs in Boardmaker I need to modify or work on. I am now forced to redesign these layouts or shell out 500$ US for something I already paid, very frustrating. So my question really is, has anybody still lying a Boardmaker dongle around, or is it possible to work without the dongle? What other options do I have?
